Privacy Policy

The short version

The numbers you enter (age, income, net worth, and savings settings) are processed entirely in your browser. We do not send them to a server, we do not store them, and we do not have accounts. We do use standard analytics tools to measure anonymous, aggregate usage of the site, which is described below.

What we do not collect

We do not ask you to sign up, and we do not collect your name, email, or the financial figures you enter. Because the calculations happen on your device, that information never leaves your browser through us.

Information in the URL

To let you reopen or share a specific view, the numbers you enter are encoded into the page URL. If you copy and share that link, anyone with it can see those numbers. Only share a link if you are comfortable with that. If you do not share the link, the values stay on your device.

Analytics and hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel, which may automatically process basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type to serve the page and protect against abuse.

We use third-party analytics and search tools to understand how the site is used and to improve it, including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Ahrefs. These tools collect anonymous, aggregate usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and referral source. They do not receive the financial figures you enter, which stay in your browser. By using this site, you consent to this analytics tracking.

You can limit analytics using your browser settings, tracking-blocker extensions, or Google's opt-out tools. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to remember your light or dark theme preference. The analytics tools described above may set their own cookies or identifiers to measure aggregate usage. We do not use advertising cookies to target you with ads.

Your choices and rights

Because we do not run accounts and do not store the figures you enter, there is no personal profile for us to delete on request. You stay in control in a few ways:

• Clear the figures you entered by resetting the form or closing the tab. They are never sent to us.
• Opt out of analytics using your browser settings, a tracking-blocker extension, or the providers' own opt-out tools.
• Requests about the anonymous, aggregate data held by our analytics providers are handled under their privacy policies (Google and Ahrefs).

Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as Canada's PIPEDA may give you rights to access or correct personal information. If you believe we hold any personal information about you, contact us and we will help to the extent we are able.
